Meet our AWESOME staff!
At Planet Earth we feel the most important asset to our center is OUR teachers. We are dedicated to choosing teachers that are completely committed to meeting the developmental and educational needs of children. Each member of our staff meets the qualifications set by the State and is encouraged to stay current on child development and early childhood education through in-service training and continuing education programs.
It is stressed to our staff that children learn through behavior modeling. Respect must be shown at all times for the children, other staff members and the environment. We strive to instill trust, promote self worth and confidence.
My name is Miss Mandi and I am the new Owner and Director! For as long as I can remember I've dreamt of becoming a teacher. I feel that educators have such high influence over children's futures; I embrace that wholeheartedly. I have worked in the childcare setting for over 8 years, two of which directing a preschool and daycare center. In 2017, I received my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently finishing up my Bachelor's. I am continuously searching for new professional development opportunities for myself, as well as my staff members, in order to provide the best experience for the children. I am very excited to start a new adventure with Planet Earth Preschool and Daycare!
My name is Miss Lish. I have only formally been working in the childcare setting for a little over a year, but my early life experience enhances that greatly. As a mom of a teenager, I have experienced many stages of growth and development. I also began caring for multiple children at the age of 11. I enjoy watching them learn all kinds of new things, with my assistance. Their imagination and creativity never cease to amaze me. I look forward to teaching and growing with your children.
Hi! I’m Miss Sarah and I am the new Lead Preschool Teacher! I am currently a student at Stark State and I am finishing up my Associates in Early child education. This is my first year in child care, but I have worked with children since I was about sixteen years old. Kids have always had a HUGE spot in my heart! I work on the weekends for a camp that is designed for children that have autism. That is where I truly fell in love with the idea of becoming an Educator and helping make the path for your child in their journey of learning! I am super excited for this new chapter of life and I can not wait to experience it with you and your child
“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”
I am Aleena and I am a junior at Kent State University under the Early Childhood Education program. I previously worked with Planet Earth, and am so happy to be back. I also have worked at Ravenna Christian School and was a family nanny for the past year. I love children and am so happy to be back in the classroom.
My name is Miss Phoebe. I have been in childcare for about 30 years, the last 18 years at Planet Earth. It has been a very rewarding experience just knowing how many lives I have helped to mold into fine young adults.
